WBJEE Result- How to Check the WBJEE Result

WBJEE result will be announced by the authority probably in the 1st week of July 2022. Candidates who have appeared in the examination should know that the admission into various courses of Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture will be based on the rank secured by them as per the merit list. The result might be announced in August 2022. Two merit lists will be prepared for the candidates i.e. General merit list and Pharmacy merit list. Important information on WBJEE Result

  • The WBJEE result will be announced in the form of a Rank card most probably in the month of August 2022.
  • The Result will be declared in the form of online mode only.
  • The Rank card will illustrate the rank obtained by a candidate in the merit list and the scored obtained by his/her in the WBJEE examination.
  • Candidates who qualify the WBJEE Exam and make it up to the merit list will further be eligible to appear for the counselling process where a seat will be allotted to them.
  • In case a candidate requires a duplicate rank card, then he/she will have to pay Rs. 500/- in form of DD to the “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board” payable at Kolkata.
  • Candidates are suggested to cross-check the details on the Rank Card.
  • Not every candidate will be eligible to appear for the counselling process, a cut-off score will be decided by the authority to select the candidates for admission into different courses via WBJEE counselling.
  • The cut-off will be released at the time of result announcement.

Details on the WBJEE Rank Card

Applicants should check for the following details printed on the WBJEE Rank card –

Applicants’ Name, Applicant’s DOB, Roll number, Marks obtained in each subject, Total aggregate marks, Qualifying Status, Applicant’s Photo.

Merit-List publication

Based on the subjects (Papers) that appeared by a candidate, the authority will release two merit lists namely –General Merit List and Pharmacy Merit List.

General Merit List (GML)

  • This merit list will be based on the total scores secured by a candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • The merit list will be applicable for – Engineering/Technology, Architecture courses, and Pharmacy Course in Jadavpur University.
  • The Ranking will be done in the descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects by a candidate.
  • The counseling and admission for mentioned courses will be done as per this list only.
  • Reserved category candidates will get separate merit position (only for deserving candidates).

Pharmacy Merit List (PML)

  • This merit list will be based on the scores obtained by a candidate in Paper-II only.
  • For admission into Pharmacy courses (except at Jadavpur University) only PML will be taken into consideration.
  • The Ranking will be done in the descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects by a candidate.
  • The admission to different pharmacy colleges will be based on the PML only.

Note:

  • Candidates appearing in only Paper-I will not be eligible for getting any rank.
  • In case, more than one candidate secures same marks in the merit list, then the tie-breaker method will be opted for allotting ranks to them.

How to Check the WBJEE Result

  • Visit the official website and click on the “WEBJEE” section at the top of the page.
  • Now click on the “WBJEE Rank Card” link on the screen.
  • Enter either the application number or Roll number, password and date of birth.
  • Click on” submit” button to see the rank card details.
  • Download the result/Rank card.
  • Keep a printout of it for further use.

Insight into WBJEE Counselling

After the WBJEE Result is announced, selected candidates (as per merit list) will be called for counseling process. The WBJEE Counselling will be done via online mode for which candidates will need to register themselves to the concerned E-Counseling portal. In the counselling process, candidates will be asked to fill their preferred choice of college and course. The result of the counselling will be displayed on the official portal.  After a seat is allotted to a candidate, he/she needs to report to the concerned college to finish admission formalities.
