VTUEEE Exam Pattern: No. of Questions, Negative Marking

Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University (VTU) will be conducting the engineering examination for admission into various disciplines of engineering offered by it. Candidates who have applied for the exam or intends to apply should know the VTUEEE exam pattern to understand the overall structure of the examination. The exam will be a computer-based test where the students will be given a system to take the online exam.

There will be four choices given to the candidates in which only one will be correct. There will be negative marking for wrong answers and if the candidates mark the correct answer, then four marks will be allotted to them. However, no marks will be given if the question is left unattended.  The VTUEEE Exam pattern will illustrate the marking scheme, duration of the exam, language in which the questions will be asked, type of questions etc. With the help of the exam pattern, students can prepare an effective strategy to crack the exam.

VTUEEE Exam Pattern

Candidates should go through the VTUEEE syllabus to know about the topics to be covered for exam preparation. Knowing the exam pattern will help the students in plan a proper strategy to gain an edge over their competitors. For effective results, candidates should align their exam preparation keeping in mind the exam pattern and syllabus prescribed for it. The exam pattern for the VTUEEE is as follows-

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in the online mode where a computer system will be allotted to the candidate to mark the answers they think are correct.
  • Duration of the Exam: The duration of the exam will be of 3 hours i.e. students will get 180 minutes to complete the exam.
  • Type of Questions: There will be objected type questions based on the MCQ pattern. Candidates will be given four choices, out of which only one will be the correct one.
  • Total number of Questions: There will be a total of 90 questions asked in the examination.
  • Maximum Marks: The overall marks that the question paper will carry are 360 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will be awarded 4 marks if answered correctly.
  • Negative Marking: If a candidate marks the wrong answer, then 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Question Not Attempted: No marks will be deducted if a candidate chooses not to attempt the question.
