UPSEE B.tech/B.arch/B.pharm – Eligibility Criteria

UPSEE Entrance Exam is conducted every year for admission in Government or Private Institutions affiliated to Dr. A. P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh. It is a state level entrance exam and was formerly known as UPTU Exam. The aim of this entrance exam is to provide admissions to students seeking admission in different undergraduate or postgraduate courses offered by university in the state.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSEE/UPTU 2019: In order to apply for this exam, it is mandatory for candidates to fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned by the university.

B.Tech/B.Des ·         Aspirants must have passed the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

·         Aspirants must have passed the compulsory subjects and optional subject without grace marks.

·         Aspirants must have secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% for sc/st candidates) in the required subjects.

·         Aspirants who are eligible for admission in B.Tech are also eligible for B.Tech( Bio Technology) and B.Tech(Agricultural Engineering)

B.Tech(Bio Technology)

·         Aspirants must have passed the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

·         Aspirants must have passed the compulsory subjects and optional subject without grace marks.

·         Aspirants must have secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% for sc/st candidates) in the required subjects.

 

B.Tech(Agricultural Engineering)

·         Aspirants must have passed the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

·         Aspirants must have secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% for sc/st candidates) in the required subjects.

·         Aspirants who are eligible for admission in B.Tech are also eligible for B.Tech(Agricultural Engineering)

B.Arch

·         Aspirants must have passed the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

·         Aspirants must have passed the compulsory subjects and optional subject without grace marks.

·         Aspirants must have secured an aggregate of 50% marks.

B.Pharm

·         Aspirants must have passed the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

·         Aspirants must have passed the compulsory subjects and optional subject without grace marks.

·         Aspirants must have secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% for sc/st candidates) in the required subjects.

 

Eligibility for Domicile

  1. Aspirants who pass the qualifying exams from UP or whose parents have domicile of UP can apply.
  2. In case aspirant passes the qualifying exam from outside UP, then he/she needs to produce domicile of either of the parent.
  3. Aspirants who do not fall in either of the above stated category are also eligible to apply but they will likely be admitted under 10% seats in technology or Architecture courses in other private institutions affiliated with AKTU.

Eligibility Criteria for Management and Computer Application Courses for UPSEE Exam 2019

Aspirant must pass the qualifying examination with the minimum 50% marks(45% for sc/st category)

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry in B.Tech/B.Pharm/MCA for UPSEE Exam 2019

Course Name Qualifying Exam Minimum Marks
B.Tech (LE) Aspirants should be diploma holders or B.Sc graduate with mathematics subject at 12th level.

 

Aspirants must have obtained 45% marks (40% for reserved category)
B.Pharm(LE)

Aspirants should have completed 2/3 years Diploma in Pharmacy.

 

Aspirants must have scored 45% marks ( 40% for reserved category)

MCA(LE)

Aspirant must hold bachelor degree of minimum three years in BCA/ B.Sc (IT/Computer Application).

 

Aspirant must have cleared the examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category)

Important Note To Candidates seeking admission in lateral entry in B.Arch, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA and MBA; Lateral Entry in these mentioned courses is NOT ALLOWED.

Eligibility Criteria for NRI’s through NRI Quota

  1. Candidates holding required minimum qualification are eligible for direct admission on 5% seats of total intake through Government aided or private institutions of UP in all courses except MBA and MCA(For B.Arch course , candidate has to give aptitude test on the counseling day).
  1. Candidates need to submit NRI certificate sealed or stamped by Indian Diplomatic Mission /Chancellery or High Commission at the time of counseling.
  2. Vacant seats in NRI quota can be filled by son/daughter/real sister/real brother of NRIs
  3. Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam with PCM subjects without grace securing minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category).
  1. The 5% seats quota shall be dispersed in following 2 ways –
  2. NRI candidates who have cleared examination with physics, mathematics and chemistry from an institute outside India (equivalent to 10+2 examination by Indian University Standards) or those who have passed GCE Examination with PCM in London, Sri lanka and Cambridge.
  3. Those candidates who have appeared in SAT 2 examinations with mathematics level 2C, Physics and Chemistry.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals(FN) , Persons Of Indian Origin(PIO), Children of workers in Gulf Countries

  1. Candidates must have passed qualifying exam with PCM subjects (equivalent to 10+2 by Association of Indian Universities).
  2. Candidates must possess a valid SAT-II score with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry.
  3. Candidates need to submit the copy of passport or similar evidence as a proof of their nationality.

Eligibility for Direct Admission in Private Institutions under Vacant Seats after Counseling:

  1. Candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) without grace.
  2. Unoccupied seats in B.Tech./B.Pharm./MCA program will be filled within 15 days of the last date of counseling.
