ULSAT 2022: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission into its law courses. The university offers admissions in BA.LLB (Hons), BBA.LLB (Hons), B.Com LLB (Hons) and B.Tech LLB (Hons) and LLM degree programmes. Interested candidates may fill their application forms from September 2021. The application form will be released through online mode. The test for the admissions, ULSAT (UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test), will be conducted online in the month of May 2022. ULSAT 2022 Main Highlights

  • Admission into the law courses offered by UPES can be done via ULSAT as well as through board merit/ CLAT merit/ L-SAT India merit, if applicable.
  • Candidates must make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for admissions.
  • The applications with incorrect or incomplete information are liable for rejection.
  • Final admission will be granted to only those who clear both online exam and GD-PI round.
  • The candidates must book their slots for exam in timely manner or else university may book any slot as per the availability.

ULSAT 2022 Application Form

The candidates can obtain the application form for ULSAT 2022 from the official website of the university upes.ac.in. Application form complete in all respects must be submitted on or before the last date of submission.

  • In the application form, basic personal and academic details of the candidates will be asked.
  • Also upload the candidates’ photograph and signature into the form in scanned format.
  • The duly-filled application form can be submitted along with the prescribed application fee.
  • Make sure to take a printout of the filled and submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  • There is no need to send the printout of the application form or any other document to the university.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for the law entrance test will be Rs. 1850/-.
  • Payment of the fee can be done online using credit card/ debit card or via net banking.

ULSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to appear for ULSAT 2022:

Age limit The candidates should be born on or after 1st October 2000 in order to be eligible.
Educational qualification (LLB) A pass in class 12th exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required. Apart from this, at least 50% aggregate marks in class 10th is also mandatory.
Educational qualification (LLM) Minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 10th and 12th and a LLB degree from a recognized university is required.

Note: Applicants appearing in their qualifying exam in the year 2022 can also apply for the entrance exam.

ULSAT 2022 Slot Booking

  • The candidates, after registration, can book the slot in which they want to take the exam.
  • Slot booking can be done by the candidates using their user id and password generated after registration.
  • Candidates who fail to book the slot for themselves, the university will do the slot booking on their behalf.
  • Applicants will only be allowed to take their exam as per the slot booked by them. No request for changing slots will be entertained.

How to take the exam?

  • The applicants can take the exam from any place suitable to them where they can get access to strong internet connection.
  • A link for taking the exam will be shared with the candidates who register themselves and book their slot for exam successfully.
  • Link for taking the exam will be made available one day before the day of exam.

ULSAT 2022 Result

  • The university will declare the result of the ULSAT 2022 hopefully in the month of July 2022.
  • Result will be announced in online mode and the candidates can check the result by visiting the official university’s website.
  • To check the result, the candidate will have to provide their basic details such as roll number, application number, date of birth, etc.
  • Candidates who clear the online test will be shortlisted for the group discussion & personal interview round.

ULSAT Admission Procedure 2022

  • After qualifying the online exam and the GD-PI round, admission will be granted to the candidates.
  • During the admission, documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified.
  • Final admission will be subject to the candidates after the successful verification.
  • Details of the admission process will be communicated to the candidates via the official website.
  • Candidates who fail to report for the admission as per the given schedule will forfeit their seats and lose their candidature.

Exemption from appearing in the exam

The following candidates are exempted from ULSAT 2022 and can apply directly for the GD & PI round.

  • Those with a CLAT ranking up to 10,000 need not appear for the entrance test.
  • Candidates with L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above are exempted from giving the admission test.
  • For BA.LLB (Hons), BBA.LLB (Hons) and B.Com LLB (Hons) admissions, the applicants who have scored a minimum of 85% marks in best of five subjects in 10th and 12th can appear directly for GD-PI. One of the five subjects must be English.
  • For admission into B.Tech LLB (Hons), the candidates with at least 70% marks in 10th and 12th and in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in class 12th are exempted from entrance exam.
