SSC CGL 2021: Application Form, Exam Date, Who is Eligible?

SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) exam for filling Group B and Group C posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations. A total of 4 tiers of exam will be held for shortlisting the applicants for these posts. Interested candidates can apply for appearing in the exam in online mode. SSC CGL 2021 Main Highlights

  • The application process is completely online and there is no need to send hard copy of any document to the commission.
  • Candidates other than Indian national need to bring a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India during document verification.
  • Admit card will only be released online and will not be sent through post or courier.
  • There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores and result once released will be final.
  • During the period of probation candidates need to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

SSC CGL 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility for appearing in SSC CGL 2021 has been discussed below.

Nationality:

The candidate should be either:

  • A citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan refugee who has come to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settling or
  • A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age limit:

Depending on the post and the department that the candidates apply for, the age limit varies.

Relaxation in upper age limit:

Educational qualification:

Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:

  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer:

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard or Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Statistics as one of the subjects in all the three years of the graduation.

All other Posts:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

SSC CGL Application Form 2021

Application form for SSC CGL 2021 will be released tentatively in the month of October 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can fill and submit the applications through online mode.

  1. In the application form, the candidates are required to provide their basic personal and academic details.
  2. Photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded into the application in scanned format.
  3. Choice for exam center and the post applied for should be mentioned clearly into the form.
  4. Duly filled application form can then be submitted along with the prescribed application fee.
  5. A copy of the filled and submitted application form is to be kept by the candidates in case of future reference.

Application fee

The application fee for SSC CGL exam will be Rs. 100/-. Women candidates and those belonging to the SC/ ST, PWD and ESM (Ex-Servicemen) category are exempted from fee payment.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2021

  • Admit card for the exam will be uploaded on the website of the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission.
  • Separate admit cards will be issued to appear for different tiers of the exam depending on the eligibility of the candidates.
  • Facility to download the admit card will be available 3-7 days before the examination.
  • In addition to the admit card, it is mandatory to carry at least two passport size recent color photographs and original valid Photo ID proof.

SSC CGL Result 2021

  • Result of the different tiers of SSC CGL paper will be released in online mode.
  • Candidates can check their result using their name, roll number and other basic details.
  • Those who clear all the rounds of the selection process will then be invited for document verification.
