IBPS RRB 2024: Recruitment of Officers (Scale I, II and III) and Office Assistants

IBPS will conduct the recruitment process for selecting the candidates for the post of Officers (Scale I, II and III) and Office Assistants. These posts will be offered in the different participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) located all over the country. Selection process will vary for the different posts and will mainly include an online exam and an interview round. Candidates can start submitting their online applications from the month of June 2024. Candidates are suggested to ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for the IBPS RRB 2024 recruitment process.

IBPS RRB 2024 Major Highlights

  • A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant and can also apply for the Post of Officer.
  • However a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale I or II or III.
  • Candidates can apply and pay the application fees separately for each post applied for.
  • Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs is required.
  • Candidates reporting for interview/ joining must carry all the important documents along with them.
  • For Officers Scale I and Office Assistant, the provisional allotment shall be restricted within the RRBs of the state opted for.
  • Provisionally allotted candidates can be posted anywhere across the country.

IBPS RRB Application Form

  • The candidates can obtain the application form for IBPS RRB 2024 from the official website of IBPS www.ibps.in.
  • In the first step, the applicants need to provide their basic details to fill the registration form.
  • A provisional registration number and password will be generated after submission of registration details.
  • Using these credentials, the candidates can fill the rest details into the application form and upload the documents.
  • Candidates are required to upload their photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a hand written declaration into the form.
  • Preference for the different RRBs must be provided in the application form.
  • After all the details are entered into the application form, the candidates should verify the data very carefully.
  • Now, the application form can be finally submitted along with the required application fee.
  • A copy of application form should be kept by the candidates but need not be sent to the IBPS or any RRBs.

Application fee

  • The application fee will be Rs. 600/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
  • EXSM candidates applying for the post of Office Assistant will have to pay only Rs. 100/- as application fee.
  • Payment of application fee can be done in online mode suing debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

IBPS RRB 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Below given are the eligibility criteria mandatory for IBPS RRB 2024 exam:

Nationality:

Candidates must fulfill any of the following nationality criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of India or subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling is also eligible
  • Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam for permanently settling can apply too

Age limit (as on 1st June 2024):

  • Office Assistant: The age of the candidates should be between 18 to 28 years.
  • Officer Scale I: The age of the candidates should be between 18 to 30 years.
  • Officer Scale II: The age of the candidates should be between 21 to 32 years.
  • Officer Scale III: The age of the candidates should be between 21 to 40 years.

Qualification:

  • Office Assistant & Officer Scale I: The candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply.
  • Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks along with 2 years’ experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution is required
  • Officer Scale II (Specialist Officers): Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or MBA for Treasury Manager/ Marketing Officer having 1 year (2 years for law officer) experience in the relevant field are eligible.
  • Officer Scale III: Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and an experience of 5 years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

IBPS RRB Admit Card 2024

  • The admit card/ call letter for various stages of exam will be uploaded on the official website of IBPS.
  • Intimation regarding the availability of admit card will also be sent to the candidates on their registered email id/ phone number.
  • Details of the exam such as venue address, date and time will be communicated to the candidates via their call letters.
  • Candidates can download their admit card using their registration number and password/ date of birth.
  • No hard copy of the call letter will be sent to the candidates by means of post or courier.

IBPS RRB 2024 Result & Interview

  • The result of the online exam will be declared online and the candidates can check their result from the official website.
  • Interview of the candidates shortlisted on the basis of online exam will be conducted for those who have applied for the post of officers.
  • Details of the interview can be found on the call letter issued to the shortlisted candidates.
  • Candidates who qualify both in the online exam and the interview will be considered for subsequent provisional allotment process.

Provisional Allotment

  • After the process of exam and interview conduction is over, the provisional allotment of the candidates will begin.
  • Shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs on the basis of merit-cum-preference.
  • The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria and verification of identity.
  • Issuance of offer of appointment including terms and conditions, formalities for verification, joining etc. is solely the decision of the RRBs.
  • Candidates who are provisionally allotted will forfeit their candidature if they do not avail the offer of appointment from the RRBs.
